SCLS-supported laptops - wireless fix

Because staff laptops are not locked down with disk-protection software, library staff will be able to perform the fix themselves on SCLS-supported staff laptops.


Procedures for staff laptops WITHOUT docking station 

  1. Turn off laptop
  2. Remove network cable from staff or patron device (whichever is easier)
  3. Plug the network cable into laptop
  4. Turn on laptop
  5. Log into Windows
  6. Wait 5 minutes
  7. Reboot laptop
  8. Remove network cable from laptop and plug staff/patron device back into the network


Procedures for staff laptops WITH docking station

  1. While the laptop is docked...
    1. Restart the laptop
    2. Log into Windows
    3. Wait 5 minutes
    4. You should now be okay to use the laptop with EW
