Don't Miss Lists - missing cover art

2022-12-01 11:20am: The December Don't Miss Lists are missing the cover art. SCLS staff are investigating the cause and will post updated lists with cover art as soon as possible.

Holds Queue report not rebuilding hourly

2022-11-23 8:30am: Cron script for the Holds Queue report started rebuilding/repopulating last night around 4:30pm. We will keep an eye on the script and report over the holiday and weekend to ensure it is running correctly.  Happy Thanksgiving!

2022-11-22 4:00pm: Library reported that the Holds Queue report stopped repopulating earlier today and we confirmed that the cron script has been throwing our errors ever since.  We don't know if this is related to the outstanding problems for the Bibliovation Reports but this has been reported to LibLime.  We will keep an eye on the cron script and when it starts running again we will post an update here.

Access to library-subscribed databases

2022-11-23 11:50am:  The fix for the report server worked this time.  We've double checked and the report server appears to be up to date so all patron information should be up to date.

2022-11-22 10:35am:  The fix for the report server did not work so patrons may still experience problems authenticating for access to some subscription services.  The issue still does not affect OverDrive or any SIP-authenticated resources.

2022-11-21 3:45pm:  Our authentication scripts for library-subscribed databases (Consumer Reports, Transparent Language, etc) look up patrons against the Bibliovation Reports server.  Currently the server does not contain recent months of data transactions, so some patrons may experience problems authenticating for access to subscription databases.  The Reports Server is scheduled to be fixed tonight, so we hope that this issue will be resolved by Tuesday morning.   This issue should not be affecting OverDrive and SIP-authenticated resources.

Bibliovation Report issues

2022-11-23 11:50am:  The fix to the report server worked.  We've double checked and the report server appears to be up to date now.  We will be running and posting the reports we could not run yesterday and you should be able to run any On Demand reports.

2022-11-22 10:30am:  The fix to the report server last night did not work.  LibLime has temporarily set the reports to run against the production server so On Demand reports will work, though they ask we not run anything too demanding.  Unfortunately this means that we still can't run some of our reports.  The Daily Money reports for the past week have been posted and so has the Trace, Transit and Unallocated Credit reports.  The Daily Overview and Daily Hourly Circ reports and the Purchase Alert report will have to wait until tomorrow.

2022-11-21 12:40pm:  LibLime has said that the process that copies data over to the report server is broken.  They need to take down Bibliovation to fix it.  The system will be down for about half an hour starting at 9pm tonight.  We'll be sending out an email to link-announce to let staff know and will post this in the slideshow on the patron catalog.

2022-11-21 10:45am:  There is currently an issue with the Bibliovation report server.  Attempts to run reports are not returning any data.  This is being reported to LibLime.

LINKcat Mobile App - log in to search

2022-11-30 4:15pm: There was a recent update to the Apple app, which has fixed the logging in issue. After the update is installed patrons will not have to log in before searching. Patrons should be prompted to update the app from the App Store.

2022-11-22 11:50am: There was a recent update to the Android app, which appears to have addressed the issue with logging in before searching. The issue doesn't not appear to be resolved on Apple devices, though. We are checking into the status of an update for the Apple app.

2022-09-02 8:57 am: Patrons must still log into the app in order to search. At this time, we are awaiting an update that will remove this requirement.

2022-06-28 9:05 am: Solus will be implementing an update to the app that will resolve the requirement for logging before searching. This update is slated to be available toward the end of July/early August.

2022-05-20 7:30am: You must be logged into the app in order to search. We have asked Solus when this security measure will be lifted, but at this time we don't know when it will change. If you or your patrons experience problems with the app, even if logged in, then logging out and logging back in may help.

2022-05-09 9:05am: Patrons must still log into the app before searching. We have asked Solus when this security measure will be lifted. If you or your patrons experience problems with the app, even if logged in, then logging out and logging back in may help.

2022-04-07 11:30am:  The LINKcat Mobile App is working, but patrons must be logged in to the app in order to search. This is a temporary security measure. It is supposed to last for at least a couple of weeks, until Solus (the app's vendor) can implement additional measures.

Issue with scanning an item to renew on selfchecks

2022-03-16 11:30am:  A couple of libraries reported issues with patrons renewing items on the selfcheck and getting "0" as the new due date but the item did not actually renew.  We have confirmed this is an issue but only if the patrons try to scan the item they wish to renew in the checkout screen on the selfcheck.

  • On the Bibliotheca selfchecks, the screen will say that "Item could not be renewed" under the title but it will have the successful checkout mark, be highlighted in green and have "!!0!!" as the new due date. The receipt will list the item as renewed but with a due date of !!0!!.
  • The Envisionware selfchecks will show a successful checkout but the due date will be 0.  The receipt will show the item as checked out but with a due date of 0.

If patrons use the Account screen to select the item they wish to renew, the item is successfully renewed.  This issue is likely related to the recent fix they put in to stop patrons from double scanning an item they were checking out.  Until this is fixed, please ask your patrons to use the Account screen to renew items if they're renewing items on the selfcheck instead of scanning the items in the checkout screen.
